Oolong Detox Tea Blend with Gingko, Ginger & Cinnamon (100g)

Our Oolong Detox Tea Blend is a twist on the traditional Chinese Oolong tea made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant which is also used to make green and black teas.  The difference is in how the teas are processed which is all to do with oxidation. This is a chemical reaction that begins when the leaves are exposed to the air, and which is responsible for the colour and taste of different teas:

• Green tea is produced from fresh tea leaves that have not undergone oxidation
• Black tea is created when leaves are fully crushed which enhance oxidations
• Oolong tea is created when the leaves are wilted in the sun and slightly bruised to create partial oxidation which is why it has the benefits of both green and black teas

PREPARATION:  We recommend using hot, but not boiling water (80-90°C).  Allow the tea to brew while covered for 10-15 minutes and pour.  Flavour the tea to your liking but we think it’s an unforgettable pleasure to drink it as it comes!

You can prepare your daily dose of tea in advance and take it with you in a bottle if you are out for the day, and in summer try it either chilled or as an iced tea.
